In 1965 Owen Maclaren invented the world’s first umbrella fold buggy after seeing his daughter struggling with a large cumbersome pram. As a former test pilot and aeronautical engineer, he used his knowledge and experience of lightweight load bearing structures to develop the B-01. The invention liberated a generation of parents and revolutionised baby transport.
